Brooke Rice is a student and a foodie with a deep interest in the Indigenous food movement. As Dirt’s niece and Rich’s friend, she’s been wanting to get the two to meet- she figured they’d get along, and she was right!
Brooke brought a jar of pickled garlic scapes from her garden to the cookout, which went into an improvised once-in-a-lifetime Sturgeon Escabeche that might well be Rich’s favourite dish of the year!!
