Chef Rich and the Wild Game film crew put their phones away for the week they spent at Whale Camp. The nearest cellphone towers are hundreds of kilometers away and there’s no signal to be had on Kendall Island. He spent this week living and working closely with the Elders, the food and the land, and spent his free time exploring the shoreline in quiet contemplation. On the last night, he summarized the week by saying “I’ve been totally offline for over a week now, but I’ve never felt so connected”.
