Known as the “Igloo Church”, the Our Lady of Victory church is Inuvik’s most well-known landmark across from the MacKenzie Hotel right in the center of town. Situated on the MacKenzie River about 200km above the Arctic Circle just south of the treeline. Populated predominantly with Inuvialuit, Gwich’in and Metis, Inuvik is growing in popularity in the adventure tourism industry, as it’s an access point to some of the most incredible northern wilderness accessible by car.
